The National Fire Protection Association recommends that homeowners have their chimney inspected at least once a year.
We recommend only burning seasoned firewood, as it contains less water and is easier to start than non-seasoned wood, produces more heat, and burns cleaner. Please view these additional woodburning safety tips from the CSIA.

Only burn seasoned wood in your fireplace. Never burn cardboard boxes, wrapping paper, trash, or dead plants. These items can spark a chimney fire.
